The infant or baby loss uses a pink and blue awareness ribbon. October is infant loss awareness month including infant loss awareness week. October 15th is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. Check your local area for more information about awareness events for this cause.

Infant loss awareness is a cause that includes pregnancy loss with miscarriage or stillbirth to baby loss for many reasons including “sudden infant death syndrome” or SIDS.
Per the U.S. National Institutes of Health for Child Health and Human Development, “SIDS is the sudden, unexplained death of an infant younger than 1 year of age that remains unexplained after a complete investigation.”
The NICHD defines “Stillbirth refers to the death of a fetus at or after the 20th week of pregnancy. There are many causes of stillbirth, ranging from birth defects to problems with the pregnancy. Often, health care providers cannot determine a specific cause for a particular stillbirth.”

Awareness Gallery offers a variety of pink and blue awareness ribbon merchandise that can be customized with your own images and messages. Awareness Gallery also works with non-profit, DonnaBellas Angels, to help make the art available to the public.
